Current Conditions

This is our first contest for Lands. We are going to be putting these lands in the "Other Places" forum and they well be accessible to all RPers on DI. We do not have a set number of how many lands we are accepting, so there are endless possibilities on how many lands you could make! We're looking for new and innovative lands, so put a lot of thought into these lands as you make them. You have to post here with the following forum.

We would like a 125 word count(no more than 150 words) on the land description and of course a name and all that jazz. Those who win, will be credited on the land that they created, and they would be able to gloat about how they got their land chosen. For participating, you will receive 5 points and for winning, you will receive 15 points, yey! There's no limit to how many entries you can do.

Land Name: GearCog City
Land Description Hovering a thousand feet above bodies of land and sea, GearCog City is the only of its kind. A leviathan of the sky, a massive propeller under the stone foundation run by many enormous gears holds up this city. Metallic buildings reach up to the clouds, cutting their way through the mist. This city is broken down into layers of functionality and class. The base remains very dark in the shadow of the towers all interconnected by massive gear moving bridges and floating highways, and this is where the mechanics of the flying city are. The middle section is the shop and club district, were the most amazing technology and foods across the world are sold. At the top is the Ritz, where nobles look down upon the lowly. Many balls and extravagant parties are held here. The city often stops over other places; lowering great elevators re-supply and trade.

Land Name: Crystal Canyon
Land Description Due to the cause of a rather large quake, a great crack formed in the dry, rocky mountains. Only recently discovered and explored, at the bottom of the crevice cave divers uncovered a rather breathtaking and enormous pocket of pressure and moister, which formatted even more stunning creations. Great crystals the size of skyscrapers connected the ceiling of caves to the floor. Lighting up the caves to show the crystal’s radiance were fist sized grubs that gave off their own iridescent blue shimmers. Stagnant pools from underground springs, and a strange moss like plant fed these many creatures, leaving them no reason to leave. Soon after discovery, a military of sorts came to guard entrance to the world wonder, allowing no one to leave with crystals lining their pockets or clothes. Its beauty is meant to be shared by all.

A place like absolutely no other, neutral in alliance Giando is a place where anyone can come and find refuge, shelter, or just a place to chill and hang. Not used anymore the abandoned piece of astounding architecture remains resolute, even though it is centuries old. However, factoring in its age, and location, Giando still remains on sturdy stone foundations. The odd thing about Giando is that it was built in the middle of a magnificent waterfall. Located miles from any civilization, Giando is a hidden place that only few know about. That being said, Giando is the worst kept secret in the magical community. Stained glass filters light creating a rainbow of color within its ancient walls. Everyone feels safe here, and everyone is welcome.
